Carbs, or rather, carbohydrates are where plants store their energy. When we eat plants, we get the plants energy that we then can use along with all the other nutrients they have made. Everything that grows contains carbs- vegetables, fruits, grains, legumes, nuts, seeds. When we eat carbs, we convert it to blood sugar that fuels our body. However, your body can make its own blood sugar, but that is another story. We are just going to talk about the good. the bad and the ugly carbs.
MTHFR Gene Varient
Researchers link MTHFR gene variations directly to an increased susceptibility to high blood pressure, heart disease, colon cancer, stroke, recurrent miscarriage, blood clots, migraines and neurological issues, leukemia, Alzheimer’s disease, anxiety and depression. Gosh, that is a lot! And 40% of us, me included, carry this. What can do somethings to prevent or postpone these diseases if we carry this variant?
